In Q1 of 2020, I had multiple counselling sessions with Mr Aidan Lakes. I had previously been to two different counsellors over the years and I can genuinely say with all my heart that I got the most benefit from my talks with Aidan.
I am always a little nervous when I go for counselling for the first time but Aidan very quickly made me feel at ease and created a non-judgemental environment to discuss any matters I was dealing with. Aidan is truly genuine and I felt real empathy at all times from him.
Aidan is an excellent listener and he used his very keen emotional intelligence and counselling skills to help me process a lot of pain and issues I was dealing with. A number of months of passed since I have last talked with Aidan and I still find myself reverting back to the conversations we had to help process any matters I am dealing with on a day to day basis.
I cannot recommend Aidan highly enough and I will be forever grateful for everything he has done for me. Thank you, Aidan.
I’d never done any therapy or counselling before but had been suffering from anxiety and finally decided to do something about it. I got in touch with Aidan and even within our first couple of sessions, he gave me a number of insights that helped me look at my anxiety and thought processes in a different light. If you’re looking for help with an issue, I couldn’t recommend Aidan more.
Aidan Lakes provided an excellent service from start to end. I was referred to Aidan through my work EAP program. I felt really nervous at the beginning since I was visiting a different provider for a long time before I met him.
My life was a complete mess. The issues I had were: Separation, Court Hearing, Child Custody plus a second break up on the top of all. I arrived at Aidan clinic a few days after “The worst day of my life”, Aidan was very easy to chat to and supported me until I was able to stand on my feet again. I could see the improvement in my own behaviour after a few sessions. I would recomend his services.
I recently had some counselling sessions with Aidan for panic attacks. Aidan is very understanding, approachable and most of all very easy to talk to. He makes you feel at ease right from the beginning and does his utmost best at all times to reassure you and help you understand your own thought processes. I was very apprehensive about counselling in general in the beginning as I feared it would be very formal, all note taking and analyzing everything I did. However this is not the case as to me, it just feels like I am having a nice chat. I think this is why you can feel at ease right from the beginning with Aidan.
From having these sessions I can see a great improvement in my own behaviour, which I am delighted about. Aidan has helped me to control and monitor my panic attacks, which I’m very happy to say have decreased immensely since starting the sessions with him.
I would highly recommend Aidan to anyone considering counselling.
